1. Give your own idea/opinionsabout:
a. Culture
Culture is a diversity of customs passed
down from ancestors to the next generation from generation to generation,
without eliminating the element of cultural authenticity itself. Culture can
also be said as a lifestyle that is passed down from generation to generation.
Even with the development of times like today, cultural traditions are well
preserved. For example, traditional Malay dance offerings when welcoming guests
at an event.
b. Interculture
Antarbudaya adalah aktivitas yang
dilakukan bersama orang lain yang melibatkan
dua orang atau lebih dengan budaya yang berbeda.
c. Cross culture
Cross-cultural is how we learn
about the cultural diversity that each group or person in our region has, both
national and international. This cross-cultural focus on socio-culture.
Especially in the style of communication.
d. Multiculture
Multiculturalism is the diversity of world cultures that focus
on accepting the diversity of various cultures in society that involve values,
norms, social ways, customs, and others.
2. Give one example of cultural conflict and offer the solution
for its adjustment!
Examples of cultural conflicts
include riots between people of different cultures, which are caused by
inappropriate communication / speaking procedures that invite emotions. Solutions
to solving problems, we need to focus on the core of the problem, then be calm,
think with a cool head, open a conversation / discussion, and listen to
explanations from both parties well.
3. How do you define:
a. Mosaic
A mosaic is a work of art that results in an image made from
pieces of glass or something else.
b. Melting pot
Melting pot is a metaphor that is melted into one to create a
laemonic fit for an increasingly homogeneous heterogeneous society.
c. Stereotype
Stereotypes are judgments given to a person based on the
perception of a group in which that person can be categorized.
d. Prejudice
Prejudice is making a decision
before knowing the relevant facts about an issue.
